I thought I was one of the only people that considered looking at pipes to be "therapy". Even though I've only just purchased my first pipe recently, I have spent years looking at pipes online, and when I was a kid I used to sit and look at my dad's pipes when he was at work. There's something soothing about the lines, the shapes, the textures. I find looking at pipes akin to looking at classic cars - it's simultaneously soothing and exciting.

What bites is the burning sugar. That is why Virginia is more likely to bite than relatively sugarless Burley, and sweetened aromatics more than English mixtures.

Mac Baren lives by sweetened aromatics...so.

But it is not the only one that burns. I tried one of those Larsen aromatics just because I had to have the damned tin with the harbour of Copenhaguen splashed all over it, and got my tongue TORCHED by this wild-cut, cased Burley, sugared Virginia nightmare.

Try F & T's MORLAIX for a truly exquisite flavour.

Pöschl snuff from Germany is also excellent. My favourite in their line is "Packard’s Club Snuff".

Lars,

I have not received my case of CBB tins from C&D. They are back-logged with new orders for it. So, I suaced you up a batch from my private stash. I needed some for myself, too. So, I emptied a couple of mason jars of unsauced CBB and sauced it up for us. It will be mailed tomorrow morning 11/17. You will be receiving approximately 8 ounces in an airtight container surrounded with bubble-wrap and placed snuggly in a mailing box. Being freshly sauced and then packaged, it may require a few minutes of drying time when you open it. See what you think and follow your nose. I hope you will enjoy it. If not, share it with others.

the world should be very well a better place. pipe smoking has help me alot i mean both in mental & physical . i used to be a chained smoker of ciggarette, after a long, hard working day i came back home exausted (with about 2 packs of ciggarette smoking) i could not even eat my dinner. and when i change to smoking pipe which never smoke during work-time (automatically i quit ciggarette)i feel now much better. this is a very wonderful experience, this yr ambiance, yr world of relaxation and the most meditative moments whenever your pipe is lit.

Hello Lars,

You seem to have ordered C&D pretty heavily. What's your impression of OJK?

Thanks!
